Each year at the end of September, I make homemade grape juice from the concord grapes planted by the farmer's father and grandfather. The grape arbors are over fifty years old, and still produce enough grapes to supply us and our family and friends with grape juice all year long. It's a heck of a lot of work and the kitchen ends up totally purple, but it's well worth the effort. This year, I think the cool spring weather reduced my grape harvest just a bit, but there will still be plenty of yummy juice to go around.
And in a few weeks, I'll make my much-in-demand (at least by my son) homemade apple butter.
Apple Butter! I can't wait!

Wow, I'm so behind on your blog...and everyone else's too. I love the pictures of the pumpkins and the cute kitty. I'm very excited at the thought a new batch of grape juice. Yum!
